Welcome to Power Jive

Learn to dance modern jive, no partner necessary, come along with a friend. Let us teach you in a friendly and fun atmosphere, our classes are relaxed and all abilities and ages are welcomed. Or perhaps you are getting married, going to a special occasion, we can teach you a routine for that special day - private tuition available. We like to use all different types of dance style, technique and music to help people become great dancers, using FUN as a basis for learning.

Powerjive classes are on Tuesday evenings from 7.30pm for beginners and 8.30pm for improvers at Drax Village Hall, from Wednesday 15 February a new Beginners Class at Hambleton Village Hall, Nr Selby from 8.00pm - 10.00pm. Everyone is welcome to join us at either or both classes.
(Entry Fee £5 which includes refreshments)

Lindy Workshop 29 January 2012

We are pleased to present a Lindy Workshop with Mike & Ronnie Goulding on Sunday 29 January 2012 at Drax Village Hall from 10.30am - 2.30pm. You will learn the basic Lindy 6 beat steps and the 'Shim Sham' dance. There will be breaks throughout the workshop and we will stop for lunch so bring a packed lunch, refreshments included. We will finish around 2.30pm, exhausted but happy. Cost for the Workshop - £20.00. Please contact Karen on 07738051814 or Wayne on 07872067593to book your place on the workshop. We are extremely versatile and listen to what the 'audience' want - if you prefer a specific type of music let us know so we can play what you like. We are friendly, happy people, with great friends and group of helpers. Come along to a class or social, you won't be disappointed
